That's true, because time is usually the independent variable. But this is not the case in this question.

Summary: if X occurs then Y happens

X was height.

yeh but in this qn, time is the one being measured instead of doing something every specific amount of time. height is the one u r changing like drop from 1m, then 2m, then 3m .... and measuring the time of flight

I can't believe I got question 2 wrong hahaha. Looking back at that choice now it's so obvious. Oh well.

If 15 is D, then I got 13/15, if it is B then I got 14. Yay, considering I did it in a really quick amount of time and never got back around to checking it.
