This is a question from Exam Choice 08 Trial paper of which i dont have the solutions for.

The question is :

Which one of the following is an acid/base conjugate pair?

(a) HCl/NaOH
(b)
(c)
(d)

Initially i thought c, but that would mean d would be correct too.....so i thought b....but then that doesnt seem right.

D isn't correct because there is no such thing as NH2-
A isn't because they are two completely different substances
B isn't because i know for a fact that the hydronious ion (H3O) has a conjugate pair of H2O :)

Oh...there isnt actually such thing as NH2 ions....im assuming they only exist as functional groups then, ok that clears things up.

Thanks :)
