Thanks

Yep, we use it at my school. We've used C.C blue prelim (book 1) and the orange one (book 2) for the HSC.

Does anyone use excel?? OOoo what is it??
I flick through it when I can't find anything in CC, or if I want to find out more, fill in the blanks, understand it better, etc.

But no, I hardly ever touch my Excel Chem.

I used it when I did the HSC in 2001. It's an alright textbook, but I think they have to understand that beating around the bush when it comes to Chemistry isn't a good idea.

I agree. it does that sometimes. I apologise for my off-topic-ness. I simply know the person who posted this, so I figured I'd bug 'em a bit.

Our class uses CC, but i also use the excel book for my revision. (Although, i find that its not that good).

There is a new series of books out at the moment, and they are called "Macquarie Revision Guide". They come in heaps of subjects. I have the Physics one, and im getting the Chemistry one tomorrow. My teacher said its much better than the Excel.

Cheers

My class uses chemistry context and chemistry pathways while my teacher regularly photocopies use pages from conquering chemistry where that book does a better job than the former two, since none of them are the best, but for some sections one book has more info than the other two. At home i sometimes use excel

It's also too general and doesn't cover everything.. Although it seems like such a thick book...

I wouldn't touch the excel book, it's wubbish >.<

We get sheets and photocopied bits and pieces from conquering chem, but we mainly use chem contexts. I dunno about what we do for the hsc course, tho, this is only for prelim.
