Um about this dot point:

Gather, process and analyse information to identify some of the energy transfers and transformations involving the conversion of electrical energy into more useful forms in the home and industry

Anyone have any idea on the theory behind this point? Is there anything to take note of or is it simply commen sense. e.g. Light bulb transforms electrical energy into heat and light energy etc?

i think it is just about light, heat and sound. like list devices that do that. eg light - light bulb , heater - heat and light, speakers - sound

They asked a question on that in this year's HSC and i think that they only required simple conversions like the one's you've written
