How about always leaving lecture early ?
Like 5/10mintues to make the bus week in , week out ?

if you miss lectures, make sure you go to tutes. just make sure you catch up - ask a friend/the lecturer what was covered and look in the text book or get a copy of someones notes. it really depends on how motivated you are - i know someone who never went to any lectures or tutes and still got a distinction in that subject.

5-10 minutes isn't bad. if i find the lecture boring i leave half way thru it. just be sure to find out what the lecture is coving in that 5-10 min period.
