I don't quite follow. Do you mean it's a course requirement to study at least one out of each category, or what? Because we have studied approximately... 16 prescribed texts, discounting the Journeys stimulus booklet and counting 5 Wordsworth poems as one text.Seppuku said:You know how in english advanced its a course requirement to have studied 5 prescribed texts from:

hey, does it ever bother you that you have to write 'skrzynecki' repeatecly in your essays?
WOW. How the hell have you studied 16 prescribed texts?? By prescribed texts i mean the HSC texts given in that list, like focus texts. Man i think our teachers may have funked something up.DownInFlames said:I don't quite follow. Do you mean it's a course requirement to study at least one out of each category, or what? If so:
Antony and Cleopatra
An Imaginary Life
Not sure for drama: unless Cosi counts
Wordsworth poetry
nonfiction = speeches.
ive never heard of that AOS prescribed text before...it seems as though maybe your school has fucked up somewhere, but it doesn't matter. how are they going to find out? ( apart from reading this thread i guess)Seppuku said:I've only studied 4!! I havent done any non-fiction prescribed texts :S :S Anyhow, even if you have studied 5 how are you supposed to show it?? As in, in the exam?
AOS - Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (PROSE)
Mod A - Malouf/Wordsworth (PROSE/POETRY)
Mod B - Citizen Kane (FILM)
Mod C - Antony and Cleo (SHAKESPEARE)

I have a little suspicion they can find out, because our school has been using that same text combination for a while, and we havent got a single band six mark in about 3 years, and we are a top 15 school. WTF.watatank said:ive never heard of that AOS prescribed text before...it seems as though maybe your school has fucked up somewhere, but it doesn't matter. how are they going to find out? Stop worrying.Seppuku said:I have a little suspicion they can find out, because our school has been using that same text combination for a while, and we havent got a single band six mark in about 3 years, and we are a top 15 school.
