how does one convert a microsoft word file into a pdf file???

there has been, many many threads on this, lol

search.

I use openoffice.org to convert, but there are many other free ones.

if, mac there should be no problem. Isn't the default file format in OSX pdf? as in things other than ms word can save in pdf.

i use the one frigid does, i got the infro from this site

it's great, no watermark and it's so easy to use, you just 'print' your documents to cute pdf and they are done

Doesnt the adobe site do it for you? I remember a while back i just submitted a word document and they sent the converted one to my email. I think there was some drawbacks though like trial period or something

just go print -> select "save as pdf" (second button at bottom of print window)

there is NO NEED for a 3rd party solution if you use a mac

(posted as no-one actually told him how to do it as per his request)

no, you said it (word) could save as a pdf (as in its save options)which it cant but it can "print" out a pdf file to your desktop...he probably would have been wondering around the save dialogue trying to work it out!
