Which idiot would make a comment to a group of Lebs and not expect anything in return?

To me they're stupid for reacting to that comment and the others are stupid for making that comment.
Groups of Lebanese guys are usually the ones making remarks to people of other races, and they NEVER expect their victims to respond violently. They don't yell shit at groups that are larger than their own, of course.

Knives are for the weak. Ooh, I can't fight with my fists, legs and elbows so I'll use a knife instead.

That statement is a bit generalised. There are many Lebanese-decented people in this country who pose no danger at all, nor are they apart of this, and probably join with us condemning these acts. The problem is we identify these people as Lebanese as if they were representing that race. The reality is they are not. They represent a group who are inconsiderate of the law and you need not be apart of any race for you to be classified in such groups. The fact that 'Aussies' have joined in to revenge the attack makes them just as bad and culpable. Revenge is something best seen in a movie, not in reality. People need to work to solve problems effectively and if people don't like that, then Australia is not the place for them!

I think that you may have missed the point of multiculturalism somewhere...

What's your point? They're just a bunch of blokes who think they're hardcore.

Think being the keyword.

What I meant by my previous post is that prior to this incident few bother to go up to a Lebanese group of youths and make remarks. It doesn't happen all that often, but when it does, it's Lebos. I have never had an Aussie/Greek/Asian group of teens driving past with their heads outside shouting "ching chong ping ping!"

It's a pity that the nefarious portion attract attention for their antics while the rest of the population that contribute positively to society (making humourous SBS shows, doctors, lawyers, barbers) don't get that much attention, because, well, it's normal to contribute positively to society.

It's how it is. When the portion of a nationality attract public and media attention, the image affected by their acts can easily spill across to the entire demographic. Take Shanghainese businessmen for example, uh, I'll leave it at that. XD

The reason why this thing has become something more than it should be is because

a. The media (Like in regards to that 2nd fight, they first reported it as yet another major fight when realistically it wasnt that big of a deal)

b. People in the shire are a bunch of dero's who are obsessed with this whole 'shire' bullshit, like ffs, in that msg saying 'lets claim back our shire'

And as for the surfers starting/having their own gangs along with all these little skool kiddies msg eachother to fight.....lebs have guns and knives......surfers etc have surfboard - whos gona win dat? And da lebs do have weapons, my mum was tellin me a story she heard on da radio about how a leb gang stabbed this dude 10 times at some beach...and he was with his family at da time!!

um tell me something

are weapons made with like a racist force-field so that the lebanese are only allowed to touch them?

If only America had done that 200 years ago with African Americans....now they commit like 70%+ of the crimes in the US. Australias coming along nicely it seems to rival that one day
WHAT?! No they don't! I may be a slight racist but that doesn't mean that I tolerate bullshit stats. There's more non-black crime than black crimes in the US

They're shit because they lack a specific target to fight, resorting to fighting amongst themselves when there's no one around?

Sounds like a fair assessment.

wow this thread is still going.

to clarify something. its not like i hate wogs because they're wogs. its just coincidence.

what i do hate are people that are violent, walk around popular night clubbish areas looking for fights, prey on the weak and vulnerable and always walk around in packs and attack smaller groups.

now from personal experience i would have to say around 80% of the male leb/middle eastern etc youth living in sydney unfortunately display the above characteristics.

so i can safely say i hate most wogs because most wogs display the above characteristics. the other 20% are fine young blokes who have managed to avoid turning into wannabe thugs and i commend them for it.

im hoping sunday proves to be entertaining. if they both wipe each other out it'd be killing to birds with one stone. now thats value!

Apparently the fights are centred around North Cronulla, but there is a huge police prescence there now - choppers, plainclothes, the lot. It's been rumoured that some will postpone fighting for two weeks (to avoid the rush) .

So, if the gangs descend on Cronulla, what will happen to those caught in the crossfire?

An interesting point to note...

Today Morris Iemma proclaimed that the full weight of the law would be used upon these 'vigilante groups' that intend to take the law into their own hands. However, he failed to identify the fact that if the police had of exerted the 'full force of the law' upon the antagonists (or Lebanese gangs) in the first place, then there would be no apparent need for the establishment of any form of vigilante group within the Cronulla area. Perhaps this political ignorance shown by Mr Iemma has to do with the fact that his seat is of course "Lakemba", and any action against factions of that community would reflect negatively in the polls...Or is this attitude a touch cynical

The manner in which he walked away from the heckling at Cronulla today, ignoring the concerns of the community just confirms his weakness as a leader and politician in general. He was elected by the people, for the people...that ignorance displayed to those community members typifies the total lack of consultation and concern for community interests that is embedded within the state government ranks..

An intelligently constructed and well developed argument..
Perhaps refuting my claim with some form of reasoning would be a little more useful and insightful.
