religious girl huh?...hmmm, i dunno, i dun mind at all...BUT...like, she cant b too religious, as in "HEY, U MUST CONVERT TO MARRY ME!" ....as long as she shows that she loves me...thats all that matter to mee
but different ppl, different opinions
yea definately

on that, isn't impossible for some people to convert? Like for me i find its almost a physiological factor- my brain just won't allow me to accept religious beliefs. Im not saying that im too intelligent for religion (is that possible?) however the analytical and at times cynical side of my psychology doesn't allow me to blatantly accept statements which are largely crowded by uncertainity.

Every man has his breaking point. Religion has considerably less fog than the alternative.

To me this is exactly what this girl is about, hyper religious, critical and unaccepting of other people to the point where she would be ostracised by any normal minded people. I cant even deal with these people because they are so strongly against things that i think are ok, like they hate homosexuals, they dont beleive in free speech, they take religious texts literally instead of looking at the spirit of it to me they are just crazy and illogical... a poisoned mind not worth my time or effort. With some people you can see how nice they could be, you can see their kind hearted soul and realise its such a shame they were manipulated and poisoned from birth.

So you can tell all that about this chick just from someone saying she's deeply religious? who's the prejudiced one here? Who's the one being hyper critical and unaccepting of other people? It is possible you know to be serious about Chrisitianity without hating homosexuals or being cut off from normal society or hating free speech.

He didn't say she was from the exclusive Brethren, far out

Personally, I wouldn't date a religious girl. I just reckon it'd be so wierd!

You'd be continuously asking yourself if what you want to do with this girl is ok according to the Bible.

My answer: NO.

I've dated a religious girl for about 9 months. I would never do it again.

i wouldn't date a girl who believed in the bible because lots of my clothes are woven from 2 different kinds of cloth, and i'd have to get a whole new wardrobe to accommodate her beliefs

If you are not religious I think all you'd need to worry about is what the girl is ok with.
Seriously I don't get this thread. If you love someone you love someone.

Of course i cant, this is an internet forum, i dont know this girl at all and i have to operate on is the little infomation we have been given, i have to use assumptions.

really? sure sounds like it to me
what are you a fool? i am saying i dont really want to have anything to do with these people, i dont want to socialise with them, they arent worth my time. Thats a little different to what psycho fundies do where they actively go out and try and "save" people, actively interfere in their lives, hate others for their life choices and so on, they are the ones who go out and [metaphorically] stone people for making choices that have no real effect on the lives of others.

Why would you bother with someone who has such a twisted view on reality when you can get a comparitvely sane, normal girl just as easily[usually easier]

It works initially because they're different people and that's interesting about them. But at the end of the day if your views conflict severely then you just won't get along.

I don't see how christian-hating is any different to some crazy fundie's homophobia, they're both about being uncomfortable and condemning of someone's lifestyle.
