Differentiate with respect to x:

i) y = 5x-3/ x2
dy/dx = [(x2)(5) - (2x)(5x-3)]/x4
= (5x2 - 10x2 + 6x)/x4
= (-5x2 + 6x)/x4
= [x(-5x + 6)]/x4
= (6 - 5x)/x3

Answer.

5x-3/x^2

using quotient rule (vu'-uv')/v^2

=(x^2).5 - (5x-3).2x/ x^4 (dot indicates multiply)

=5x^2-10x^2+6x/ x^4 (expanded brackets)

=6x-5x^2/x^4 (rearranged)

=6-5x/x^3 (divided everything by x as it is a common factor)

Hope that helped.
