i have a small 5 by 5 cm digital camera.. it cost me $100
it does the job... no flash though
i use it as a webcam and to take quick photos (eg my desk and goals poster ive put in other boards)
it comes with pink and blue covers :D
yeh i wouldnt recommend it if ur into the whole art of photography thing but its something small u can carry around for quick snaps.. it also takes short moving pictures

A friend told me that XD cards are faster read/write than SD, but I prefer SD.

canon a80 is the 4 megapixel version.. and its RRP$599
pity no rechargable batts tho
but very nice picture quality..
SONY and OLYMPUS 3.2 megapixel seem better value

xD cards are superior to most other memory media out there for digital cameras. Only problem is they're only supported by Fuji and Olympus currently.

I have a canon a70, 3.2mp, very good quality, probably get them cheaper now because of the newer A80.

Thing to note is, megapixel doesn't really mean image quality. I mean going over 3 or 4 mp is really overkill unless you're going to print large prints. Sure images are higher megapixel look clearer but there are other factors like light exposure, and how well the camera handles red eye syndrome etc.
