from what i hear, the bachelor of arts (and to a degree science) is a degree designed for those who dont know what they want to do. do you know anybody who has completed a bachelor of arts who knew the career path they wanted to pursue before starting their degree????

These degree's are not 'designed' for people who don't have a clue about what they want to pursue necessarily, but the flexible nature of their program of study can make them a good option for such people.

I know plenty of people who have taken these degrees knowing exactly where they want to end up, others take them as a stepping stone to transfer into other degrees. It really depends on the individual and their needs, you'll rarely find only one set 'type' of student in a BA/BSci.

bachelor of arts, unless i get the higher ATAR to get into bachelor of psychology.
bachelor of arts is designed as a general all round degree as the majors can include up to 30 (or more in some UNI's) and once you get into about year 2 of the degree, you are expected to be majoring in two subjects, possibly three, although you start with three, or an extended major and a minor.
i know what i want to study; i want to do an extended major in pyschology and minor in sociology.
so yes the bachelor of arts can be for people that are unsure about what they want to study, but it an also be a stepping stone for ohther degree, or to achieve your full degree.
most uni's will have a list of majorss that bachelor of arts carry there if youre interested.

Since I still have completely no idea what I want to do. Does that this mean I would be best doing this course? I'm just weighing up between IT networking, Sport Science, Education or Engineering. They are all poles apart but would this be the best way to go even without completing 3/4 methods? '

im pretty sure that if u wanna do engineering u MUST do methods.
some unis assume knowledge from specialist maths....

im pretty sure u wouldnt be able to follow any of those career paths (apart from education) doing a bachelor of arts....

so i dnt think this course would be for you

There are people who do Arts and know for sure what they want to do, but a lot don't and are intending to either transfer through to something else (maybe law, maybe commerce, who knows), or complete it and then figure out the next move. Some though would know their intended major, then do teaching and teach around that major. Others may want to do criminology, work in criminal justice, others do lote, become linguists. Probably some do english/lit/writing intending to become an author.

For that other person, I'd say science over Arts. None of them really fit with arts, except perhaps teaching, however the other stuff is science/IT so you'd be teaching in that anyway, right? Probably best therefore to do science, can then probably narrow it down to sports science, switch to IT easier or transfer through to enginerring, maybe eventually doing a DipEd if thats what you want then.

There's not much money in international law, unless you mean international commercial arbitration or perhaps some conflict of law issues...
