Bet you've never tried.
How would you know whether it's fun or not unless you try it?

Yeah I dont drink either because Im also a christian, that doesnt mean that I should never touch a drop of anything with alcohol in it (hey i drink communion WINE and its alcoholic). The bible never says that we shouldnt drink rather that we should drink sensibly modelling Jesus in everything we do, including socialising with friends. I have no problem at all with drinking and no doubt i will probably drink one day but when i do ill do it in a holy way.
Tain't nothing holy about get absolutely smashed and waking up the next morning without remembering anything and with a new bun in the oven from some random ugly guy who was 10 years your senior ifyanowotimean.

i so agree with you and drinking now can cause problems for you when your older, what ever tv or research says about it being good and all is *BS*. i dont know why you all are fighting against each other, its a personal issue not a state emergency.

exactly. i dont understand why some of those people who do drink have this urge to criticise those of us who dont, in particular attacking the christians among us with bible readings etc.

are you just insecure and feel a need to explain/defend yourself??

i dont care whether people drink or not. Its something you choose to do and whether you go one way or the other really makes you no different as a person. i personally choose not to drink because i'd rather the taste of juice or a soft drink over something alcoholic.

and i dont think it makes me a 'pussy' if i dont like to drink. what does it prove whether you drink or not??

Yeah, because you're so the scientist. Drinking in excess causes problems, drinking CERTAIN alcohols in SMALL quantities can be benefical to health.

What the fuck is wrong with all you people who can't separate drinking occasionally to being an alcoholic!!!

I think smoking is still the number one cause of preventable deaths...however, excessive drinking may lead to innocent people being killed e.g. in drink driving

Don't drink
Hate dope
Don't laugh at dirty jokes
Got a mum, and a dad
Only ones I've ever had
And I wanna know, if I'm growing old with anything
And I've got a hero that I'll follow to the end

I don't have a problem with non-drinkers at all. I have a problem with the retardedness of citing the bible as the reason for that particular life choice.

The bible doesn't say you can't drink. Jesus sank a lot of piss. Might as well become a muslim or a krishna if you want to follow that bullshit.

haha no.

its what Jesus said at the last supper. the bread symbolises his body and the wine his blood.

it would have to be quite the dim fundamentalist to interpret that as Jesus actually breaking a piece of him off to pass around for dinner.
Well actually Catholics believe in transubstantiation... They believe it actually turns INTO the body and blood of Jebus. To them it's not symbolic.
/end Catholic moment.

Smoking is so much worse than drinking. There's no such thing as 'smoking responsibly' is there.

Actually according to the world renowned British medical journal The Lancet, alcohol is technically 'worse' than both tobacco and marijuana (just to cover the general substances you may have been referring to by 'smoking'), as well as ecstacy, LSD and a few other things. See 'Rational scale to assess the harm of drugs (mean physical harm and mean dependence)' graph: File:Rational scale to assess the harm of drugs (mean physical harm and mean dependence).svg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
