does commerce actuary studies need 4 unit math??? i know that it isnt a prerquisite or assumed knowledge but im just askin

would it be hard to manage commerce actuary studies if you havent done 4 unit math because apparently someone told me that it is very math heavy.

assumed knowledge for the course is 3 unit maths. i met a guy at a uni function at my skool who did 3 unit maths and was studying actuary. he was handling it all right.

It's not a prerequisite at all. You just need to have a brain in order to do well in Actuarial Studies.

It's not assumed, but it's usually helpful to have that confrontation with a higher level of mathematics nice and early so it's easier to deal with the jump from HSC Mathematics to university.

I don't know shit, but I'd guess problems like perms and combs (the harder 3U). Shit is crazy.

From what I gather they mostly do the same maths I do (non-Actuarial) but with a higher emphasis on probability and statistics.
