catholic and independent trials, first and foremostDone every extension 2 HSC paper.
I am happy to do other schools trials, however I do not want to waste time on trials that are easier than the HSC.
What do you people recommend?
didn't include it because I assumed OP would have done them.*cough* *cough*
BOS Trials
very helpful, doing James Ruse 2014 now.have you done hsc back to 1990
what school are you at?
(wouldn't recommend going beyond that)
than do the following schools in order (these ones you can find on the web, or Pm me)
James Ruse 2003-2014
Sydney Grammar 1998-2014
Sydney Boys 1997-2014
Baulkham Hills 2007-2014
NSG 2006-2014
NSB 2011-2014
Sydney Tech 2002-2014
schools like Barker,
+ catholic/independent ones
I have done all of them twice throughout the year and literally don't have anything to do so I am just going with the 1980's HSC.catholic and independent trials, first and foremost
also, then if you really need more, Sydney grammar, james ruse and Sydney boys trial papers
Catholic: around 80very helpful, doing James Ruse 2014 now.
I completely understand that this is a borderline ridiculous question, but does anyone have any idea as to the approximate % mark I should be getting in the above trials to guarantee an e4 level.
^I put guarantee in to facilitate guesses that are slightly above rather than below what you genuinely believe would be e4 level.
I don't want a state rank but I need atleast a 98 mark in 4u and 95 in 3u and 95 in phys to even up for my school's chem ranking and schools and HSC english. Its hard, but considering that I have put in all my efforts these last two years, hopefully I can.You guys are so bothered with doing 4u papers lol
Focus on other subjects to maximize atar? (unless everyone here is aiming for state rank o.o)
Are you implying that in this final week, studying economics, chemistry or 3 unit maths would generate a greater return on investment than 4u?You guys are so bothered with doing 4u papers lol

The 'hard' papers (Ruse, Grammar Syd Boys, top selective schools) around 90+/120 old formatvery helpful, doing James Ruse 2014 now.

So the implication of this is that no one writes trials that are harder than the HSC?The 'hard' papers (Ruse, Grammar Syd Boys, top selective schools) around 90+/120 old format
New format around 82/100
People have said this to me. Is this legit?Do them again
You can't really cram last minute for maths. If you really did all those papers I'd say you're prepared and doing more papers won't see much more improvement than 1 hsc mark? Are you implying that in this final week, studying economics, chemistry or 3 unit maths would generate a greater return on investment than 4u?
That's strange. I would think 98 for 3u and 95 for 4u lolI don't want a state rank but I need atleast a 98 mark in 4u and 95 in 3u and 95 in phys to even up for my school's chem ranking and schools and HSC english. Yes! Because barely any schools finish the entire 4u course before their trials, and therefore harder 3u doesn't get assessed much, maybe a few marks like 5. Hence why people tend to get higher than trials. HSC papers are dominated by harder 3u, last years paper had 28 marks devoted just to harder 3u questions, and that's where most students tend to do poorly in and hence the lower e4 cutoffs in the HSC exam papers (around 65ish every year). When doing trial papers you should be getting high marks. So the implication of this is that no one writes trials that are harder than the HSC?
73/100 would put you above 90 definitely. As low as 65?
If I got an average of 73% for the past ten years HSC with a very low standard deviation, what HSC mark am I looking at?
