Hey, I'm Hannah.. and have a few questions.

Firstly, are there even dorms at the Penrith campus or near the penrith campus?

If so, what're they like? Do you get to have roommates? How many? Are the rooms big? Are the people fun?

What kind of atmosphere is it? Is it full of nerds, or are there parties and stuff fairly frequently?

Just curious.. I think it might be too late for me to apply for accomodation at a dorm right now, but maybe I will next year.

To anyone who replies, thankyou!

Oh and and.. are the dorms co-ed? I don't have a problem with all-girls (as long as they're hot), but boys would be fun too.

I did google that, and I came across residental accomodation.. townhouses and the like. But that's not what I'm asking about. I'm asking about dorms.

And, if you'll notice, the questions I asked can't exactly be answered by google, they have to be answered by somebody who goes there.

Eh, probably. Didn't think about that.

Nevertheless.. the same questions apply to the townhouses. Anybody?

Rofl, yes.. because wanting an active social life = bimbo. Mhmm. My UAI was actually 76 point something... which is shit, but whatever. Annnnd my IQ is 119. Byebye, asshat. =]

JhK89.. that tells me nothing that the site didn't. I wanna know what the environment is like.. is everyone pretty social, or reclusive? I wouldn't want to live on-campus unless it was going to be fun. Do you live on campus?

Why incriminate yourself further?

Which online test was this? :uhhuh:

Oh honestly, you guys, grow up.

(I'm not necessarily ashamed of my UAI, considering I bludged the entire year, it's pretty good.. but obviously you think I'm full of shit, so meh.. also, it wasn't an online IQ test, it was that National IQ test that was on TV a while ago).

If you can't answer my questions, there's really no point wasting your time and mine.

Moving away from this petty argument and back on topic; anybody?

You might find some more helpful feedback/advice in the UWS forum on BOS :)

But I have been to the campus (not the dorms though). I'd say the people at Penrith are extremely sociable/friendly (compared to Parramatta campus), since most students come to Penrith from far away as well, so everyone's in the same boat. Just make yourself approachable. The atmosphere is really nice too, there's more facilities like uni clubs, bars and gym, etc.

Hey, I was the barman for the UWS Residential Accommodation staff/student advisors dinner last night, they all seemed pretty friendly and social. Also livin on campus at Hawkesbury or Penrith seems like a pretty good experience.
