Hey,

In terms of having techniques specific to a textual form I am struggling with a play (Mod C, The Crucible). I mean sure there is stage directions and symbolism, but I really want to go beyond that into more sophisticated techniques.

Does anyone have any suggestions of more sophisticated techniques that are commonly found in plays?

Cheers,

Meta-theatre - a play in a play
Soliloquy - talking directly to the audience
Dramatic irony - audience can foreshadow the problem that comes ahead to the character something like that idk.

Just google it.
