what will they look for if they ask for us to draw a story board , i know like arrons the frames some design elements, but anything else? apart from the obvious
I doubt they will ask us to draw a story board. However they are able to ask us to draw a specific storyboard which include: Linear, Hierarchical, Non-Linear and Combination.
In the past papers there are 2 cases of them asking for a storyboard to be drawn.
I always do mine hierarchical although the answers have them as linear.
I find hierarchical to be easier for the scenarios they provide.
Some features of a storyboard can include
- Use of white space
- Consistent font (ie. sans serif for easy readability)
- Consistent layout
- Navigation
- Easily accessible help
- Graphic to add interest but not detract
i did both papers for these storyboards and each had the layout with the individual screens and just x's where videos were and other stuff to represent each thing in little detail and then a key on the side to say what each represented. each screen was say 4,4 cm so i dont think they will care about justification and stuff. i think just divide your page and put a heading, keep navigation constant, and put arrows and little comments like "all text would be sans serif for readability"
