Is dropping a subject allowed?

Are there any penalties if you drop a subject?

Thanks all!

Yes, you can drop a subject. However, make sure you do it before the census date so you won't waste any $. The only penalty is that if you are dropping a core subject and you decide in the long run to say in that course then you will pretty much waste sometime.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

You should be able to drop any subject you want. In order to withdraw without financial penalty, you need to do so before the financial census date (usually late March) and to withdraw without academic penalty, you need to do so before the final census date (usually mid-May).
