do lecturers/tutors care where we email them from ? or do i have to use mymq thingy

yeh i think you should use the mq one, cuz some tutors/lecturers don't receive emails from hotmail/msn for some reason.

yeah i use the mymq. So they can recognise you as in their class etc.

I was sick once, and emailed a tutor from my hotmail by accident when I was replying to an email forwarded from my uni one and now she only sends things to the deathtobarbie address...

So I doubt they'd mind, but be wary of the spam filters that the uni mail has in place as it might dump you right in junkmail/block you outright.

Spam filters prevent them from getting emails from hotmail/yahoo accounts.

And using uni email accounts is much more professional.

I use my uni account for all correspondence with tutors. This is because my torts lecturer refused to open emails from a hotmail/g-mail account, because he resented the fact they were called things like "lovelypinkbutterflylove" and "sxygrl6969hawthawt".

well i dunno about spam filters and such but all my hotmail emails get through to my tutors just fine??

but yeah my email isn't anything like the above lol

I have a fake account created in Outlook Express so I can send 'from' my mq one. Makes life much easier.

Dealing with all these old cantankerous Egyptologists would make me wary of using a novelty one, if I had one.

I just send it from my hotmail address. My linguistics tutor encourages us to send it from our personal email address, as she likes to examine our email username, and see what it might say about our personality, lol.

Anyway, i remember my tutor had sent an email to the whole class, and everybody who had an hotmail account didn't recieve it. hmm, how odd
