Engineering/Commerce Timetable Stucture (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, I recently made my timetable for semester one. Currently I'm taking:
PHYS1131
MATH1141
ENGG1000 and,
ENGG1811.

I've been following this: http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/undergraduate/programs/2015/3764.html which says I can start commerce in semester 2.

But I found this online: http://www.engineering.unsw.edu.au/...64-BEHons-BCom-MECH-Plan-from-2015_5.1.15.pdf

Which says that I need to do a Comm elective in semester 1. Is this just a recommendation or should I follow according to this plan? Any help is appreciated

It's up to you - that plan is just recommended. All you need to ensure is you meet the prerequisite for courses, and make sure you take into account that some courses are only offered in one semester.

Doing those 4 courses is fine for Eng/Com.
