guys I wanna transfer out of du for proficiency but they have a entrance exam so I wanna know if anyone who’s enrolled what the test is like or what topic everyone is up to??

becos I feel stupid asl and if I don't understand the topic, there's not much help to make sure I actually understand it and also I hate being in the B class cuz its hard to move up once ur put there and like even though I don't really have to leave I just js need something that I can use to re learn the topic at home if I didn't understand it at the centre

i took the test recently and even if you do bad and the class is too slow for you, then just say you want to be in a faster class and they will move you

for maths ext there is a class doing functions, one doing perms and combs, and one doing differentiation

wait do I have to enrol for both adv and ext separately or will they teach ext along with advanced cuz their course schedule doesn't have adv topics in them

btw the topics tested were functions and trig (no 3d trig) from what i remember

but honestly, im only going cuz i think the resources are good, but in the three hours, we just solve the questions on our own and ask for help when we need it. the chatswood campus is quite depressing imo i heard the burwood campus is better

so u don't think they teach well? don't know if I can sit still and do questions for 3 hours straight good lord but if I transfer im gonna go Burwood so I hope its better

also isn't it super expensive to pay and learn math adv and math ext separately esp since the class times are different? I don't get that

You don’t get taught at all. It’s essentially kumon.

they explain well for questions you dont know (not really for new concepts) but i dont really see the point in doing three hours im so sick of it by the second hour it kind of feels like homework help but i think i do see me improving a bit

it is going to be expensive but i think proficiency is relatively cheap, and you can always ask for more resources, even for advanced content so imo i would rather not go to the adv class and just stick with ext
there are free 'workshops' which are just free lessons if you need help with anything (still three hours)
i want to go to the burwood campus but its quite far for me
