ah cool...InfiniteQ said:Hey I worked at SBP for a little while... they are very nice
Yeah it was for CA Achiever... yeah I had no idea who they were before that but a lot of people who used to work there have left since so I guess you'll be meeting a lot of newbies yourself.Eagles said:ah cool...
was it for work exp/ CA achiever?
SBP is a firm.. ranked 73rd, so u wouldnt have heard it.. up till a month ago, i only know the big 4 lol!
It's one of the smaller accounting firms.... nothing wrong with butting in.seremify007 said:Sorry for being stupid but what are you guys talking about >__> I seem to have misunderstood what SBP is.. (ahah and sorry for buttin in- but this is a public forum)
I have worked there as part of the CA Achiever program and Eagle will be working there. I'm at EY now.seremify007 said:*looks up in BRW*
SBP = Saccasan Bailey Partners
Thanks for the info^^ So you guys are gonna be working there?
(I find it funny that all the other accountants are leeching off the E&Y topic^^)
Some decent clothes on your back, perhaps your TFN and bank details... other than that there's no reason to bring anything.babee_blu_eyez said:qn: the info pack thing we got doesnt say wat we actually need to bring on the first day?
Yea.. in the interview they mentioned about doing the CA achiever in the past yrs..InfiniteQ said:I have worked there as part of the CA Achiever program and Eagle will be working there. I'm at EY now.
There's no point creating new threads... it would be hard to keep track.
Does that mean you just finished 1st year?Eagles said:Yea.. in the interview they mentioned about doing the CA achiever in the past yrs..
damnit.. I got rejected in the CA achiever interviews.. grrrrrrrrr.. rejections!!
They all do. You just need to call them & state your case... if they want you they'll ask you to meet them.seremify007 said:Does anyone know which other firms offer cadetship-style positions to first-year uni students? I mean.. apart from EY.
SBP, PKF, Hallchadwick, Moore Stephens to name a few (can't emphasise enough that ALL of them do take in 1st years). I had an offer from PwC and EY when I applied as a 1st year student. I don't really understand why you think firms aren't interested in hiring a 1st year student but whatever the case... it's a business - no one gives a shit whether you're in 1st year or not as long as you're willing to work under their terms.seremify007 said:I've never heard of anyone (apart from EY) who got in as a 1st year uni student into cadetship; may I ask if you've heard of anyone/any firms?
But I do agree with you on the 'you should just ring up' principle...
