Are these events supposed to be global events or just Australia? or even just relative to the average teen?

-March 20, 2003 - The Iraq War begins.
-Olympics maybe?
-A popular awesome movie maybe?
-Barrack Obama president
-2006 Four days after an appeals court upholds his death sentence, Saddan Hussein is hanged in Baghdad
-Hurricane Katrina and support for those countries affected

erm... can't think of much more
