The title is pretty self-explainatory:music:
In my school they do it based on estimated mark.

My old school does it based on whoever tops the most subjects.

However in instances where there's a discrepancy of some kind (last year it was due to one person topping 4 subjects lower in the scaling scheme of things versus someone topping 3 higher scaling subjects) then they do it on estimated mark.

Although in the instance above, the person topping 4 lower subjects still got a higher predicted (and actual) score.

(And its given out prior to externals)

Last year the same thing happened at my school and so they gave a joined dux, which is funny because it was obvious the science guy was going to get a higher mark than the humanity guy.
I think it was because a couple of years ago my school made a wrong prediction, lol.:haha:

Hmm the person who tops the most subjects system seems to suck in my opinion, because what if someone isn't topping anything, but is say coming 2nd in all high scaling subjects?

Highest ATAR. The DUX is given the year after so it can reflect the highest results.
