I am getting confused about the pleistocene era. It says on the internet that Australian climate kept alternating from wet phases to dry phases.
But it says that the vegetation did not change much and rainforests were confined to one area; wheras central Australia was dominated by dry forests.
In my bio book it says that the vegetation kept changing from rainforest to dry open forests.
Can someone help please and tell me what the pattern of vegetation was for Australia during this period of warm and wet phases?
