hey are any of u guys going on excursions for legal?


our school is going to the jail-should be fun

my teacher is trying to organise something for us to go to longbay jail, but its a little iffy coz of the sex offenders and stuff.

id love to go tho; i wanna make fun of some of the prisoners!

we've been told to not take items of value at all, no phones, wallets nothing!!!

the excursion was really really really good

we went to Malawar and silverwater and yeh it was heaps good despite the rain

Aaargh lucky! I suggested going to a jail for an excursion as a kinda half joke (but i did wanna go) and everyone looked at me like i was crazy and aw u got to go!

Did u get to talk to any of the inmates?!

yeh we got to speak to 2 women and we "heard" from others who yelled stuff out as we were wlaking but it was soooo cool!!!

we went to long bay jail a few weeks ago, got a tour around the sex offender part, prisoners were like a metre away from us, it was pretty scary but a good experience. We had really strict rules on what we were permitted to wear eg no tight clothes, make up etc. One of the prisoners who was about 50 commented on one of the guys in my class's ass... scary stuff..

Awww, we never got to go to a gaol. Boo!
However-we went to the courts to go sit in on a case for an assignment, and me and my friends just picked a random courtroom and went and sat down-and it turned out to be this huge case (some of you may have read about it...) about a guy who got plastic surgery...down there...and his surgeon botched it up and he was seeking compensation. Of all the cases to get to see...lol!

aww what you guys get excursions??!?! we never got any in year 12.

but in year 11 we got to the court, but it was very interesting, just all the drunks from the weekend at the court.

I suppose gaol is serving everyone's curiosity, but has anyone been to the "crime speech"during march??? There are people like DPP speaking and different lawyers, not much new information,but it sounds sophiscated when you are quoting something from the DPP himself. i suppose more info gained from visiting a gaol.

We were supposed to go to Longbay for a day but the trip got cancelled after the inmates rioted, our headmaster thought it might not be a very good idea

Not a good idea, thats the first thing we were warned about Dont antagonise the inmates!! Apparently a student said something to a hardcore crim a few years before and the bloke reached out, grabbed him, broke his arm and flogged the piss out of him.
