Yeah we all know it cant happen but ext physics with 4 unit maths in it would be awesome
4 unit Mechanics is pretty much the first topic you do in first year uni physics (well at usyd anyway, from what I've read). It should be enough of a "taster" for you.

I doubt harder Bio would be overly difficult to teach.
Sorry, i didn't phrase what i was saying properly.

Some science teaches may be challenged by teaching extension science subjects.

I agree that a harder bio syllabus would be within nearly all teachers capabilities.

Extension science dosn't necessarily have to be harder.
It can just be different and incorporate different stuff.
Get rid of the "evaluate the impact on society blah blah blah" and incorporate more problem solving/research/calculations

also bio is a very popular subject...........
there are a lot of bio teachers in the state...........
increasing the difficulty of a subject would definitely deduct the numbers of people undertaking the course....
introducing extension courses would put pressure on teachers.................
it would be a very unpopular idea on a state level

Yeah physics with maths would be a pretty fucked up course.
It would have to be a research based thing for ext.

they need to bring extension eco/business back
haha, if every single subject starts wanting there own extension, why dont we just switch from hsc to IB.

That way, people can do their subjects at an advanced level, albeit there will be less subjects to choose from
