Yer, good. Abbey's is mentioned! Good for finding music scores without going to a music specialist place thingy, and love the foreign language dept on the 2nd level. :)

Borders is good too. The one at Macquarie Centre though.

I go to Angus and Robertson the most.. only because thats our local bookstore.

Otherwise, my favourite ones are Dymocks, Borders and Collins.

Dymocks is generally a good place to buy books, and Angus and Roberson have some great 2-for-1 book packs.

There's also the Basement Bookstore at Central Station (Railway Sq side). They sell an alright range of books at reasonably cheap prices.

 not very happy with angus & robertson at the moment.

they have a bad record with me for ordering in books. The first one i ordered never arrived as then they told me, "The book was never even on our database". The how did I get a reciept from the sales assistant telling me that the book was ordered and the book No. was on it?

Another book came 3 weeks after it was supposed to and now im still waiting for a Mary Woolstencraft book.....

I absolutely love Dymocks. It's the oldest and most respected bookstore in the country. For those who live in the Sydney City vicinity you should check out the City Dymocks store in George Street, city.

That particular store is abnsolutely amazing. Dymocks in the city has its own building which is two sotries high!! There is practically every book in there. The very first time I went there I spent two and a half hours just browswing, mesmerised by the immensity of it all before I bought anything. There is even a cafe` on the second floor where you can relax with a latte` while reading the books you've just purchased. I love that store!!! It's a booklovers paradise!!!

Pity I have to catch a train to get there, but its's only a half an hour trip so it's no big deal.
