i played alot of first person shooter games in the last 10+ years. tell me what yuor favourtie FPS games are. they can be new eg Halflife 2 or really old eg Wolfenstein

yeh 1 or 2 shots and yuor dead in CS. not like doom for example where u get hammered with shots/attacks and you still manage to run off , and quickly grab a medi kit and 100% again

2: Halo ( I haven't played the sequal yet)
3: Far Cry
4: Perfect Dark/ Golden Eye (for nostalgia reasons)

I'm playing Kill Zone at the moment and I'm really enjoying that, even if most game critics didn't rate it that well.

I never finished Doom 3, it was too scary for me.

Edit: Sasha, I think Too Lazy is refering to the ragdoll physics. :]

Anyway, my favourite FPSes are:

1. Far Cry
2. Half Life 2
3. Goldeneye
4. Halo
5. Metroid Prime (?)

Once you start up Halo 2 you wouldn't touch Halo with a stick.

Doom 3's ending is shit. You're lucky to not finish it.

I think Deus Ex is the best First Person Shooter, because its the best.

LOL, I thought Doom 3 was shit full stop. There havent been any good mods for it either that Ive found.

I didnt like Halo 2 over Halo 1 though. I thought the story was appaling and I liked the general gaming mechanics of the first one better, even though most of the gaming community seemed to hate the repeition.

Isnt Dues Ex an RPG?

I'm playing Kill Zone at the moment and I'm really enjoying that, even if most game critics didn't rate it that well.

I have noticed that critics seem to dislike this game a bit too much. It is chastised heavily for having flaws that they seem to ignore in games like Halo, slowdown is the major one. Other games that are highly regarded with much slowdown are Goldeneye and also Pro Evolution Soccer 4.

Kill Zone however cops immeasurable amounts of flack for it. I say screw the critics, they must have been paid off for forgiving Halo and not Kill Zone, I just see not other explanation.

- Natural Selection
- The Specialists [ damn awesome game .. wid good gfx! hl1 mod.
- Wolfenstein 3d !!!! can't beat old school!
- Quake 3 Arena [ +fav Capture the flag ]

realli laggy on the last stage though!!!
as for hl2

and storyline is supposedly better .. hahah

Maybe it's because Killzone is on PS2, and Halo is on Xbox (which has heaps more hdd space).

I fail to see the point.


Back on topic, Rise of the Triad was significantly awesome. It was quite gory for it's time aswell.

Some of these games I would probably hate if I played them now. I loved Blood because of its gameplay, but if I played it now, the morally bankrupt storyline would probably make me break the CD.

Perfect dark rocks, the best multiplayer game ever made, HL and CS Source are great online and HL2 single player, But Perfect dark still wins (i still play it on the n64 i bought from the pawn shop just so i could have that game)
