Hey guys,

I'm trying to get my head around field diagrams. I have made a switch from Mathematics to General and I don't know where to start. Can someone help me, if you can give me examples or just a generalised explaination to what field dagrams are that would be great.

I have a question about surveying a lot or something like that, i have no idea how to go about it though.

Any help, would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!!

I have no idea what you're talking abt when refering to field diagrams :spzz:
If you're talking abt the measurements of a field i can help, though an actual question on it would be better. Field diagrams as in l x b = A ?
Like i said, an example would be best.

In the Measurement topic for the Prelim course there is a section on "Applications of area and Volume" one thing you have to do is use a "field diagram" to calculate the are of irregular shaped blocks of land.

Does anyone know how to do this? Since i heard up to 30% of the prelim course can be tested...

EHH?! You mean applications of calculus with volume and area, where you differentiate or integrate? I'm so lost LOL sorry.
My prelim course only had differentiate something to obtain max.min volume/ area

Mate, you dont use applications of calculus in the prelim course for general maths, if you dont understand dont reply. That is clearly the mathematics course (2U)....
