Im considering doing a double degree of finance and financial maths.
My question is, is it worth while doing financial maths major? and
Im hoping to get into the trading side of finance, will this help?

Cheers

Studying maths at uni will help develop a lot of skills and attributes that your future employers desire. As Trebla said, it may help to some extent but it's not going to be a dealbreaker when you look for jobs as a trader.

It will most likely help, but I doubt it is considered absolutely necessary. Studying Mathematics is not just about learning the content, but also developing rational thinking and problem solving skills required in the work industry.
