I know this is in the wrong thread, but lets be honest the food technology section is a wasteland. Any-who, my question is:

What are 3 reasons for food legislation and give specific example(s)?

I know its probably really simple but, I'm having a brain fart at the moment.

If there is no-one from Food Technology then I suppose it could be answered with the food part. So

to ensure food is safe for consumption (FOOD ACT 2003) , to prevent diseases and pests spreading through aus (import/export act) to ensure australians make healthy food choices (national health and nutrition policy)
not that detailed but you can google each for more!
