Not bad considering I did jack all this year, but I really worked myself to the edge those 2 months of the HSC. It was total hell, still I'd rather sacrifice those 2 months than the whole year so I'm alright with it.

Never forget that if only a subject or two pulled your UAI down, it's often worth taking those subjects again. There's an excellent chance that you'll do better with fewer subjects to concentrate on, and it doesn't take any longer than many of the "back door" routes to the uni course of your choice.
I sure as hell wouldn't do the HSC again...
Not when there's Principal Recommendation Schemes and the like.

I believe there's a Mod on this website who got a uai in the 70's, and went on to do medicine at UWA. This is perhaps the most inspirational low-uai story I can think of, hopefully it gives some of you guys some hope.

Haha.
I know people who've gotten UAI's between 60-70 and gone on to do Law.

Bands:
4 (78) English (advanced)
5 (80) Gen. Maths
5 (82) Legal
5 (87) Senior Science
5 (80) SDD

Not too good.

But still when I saw my results, I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting much less, having wagged 75 full days and skipping much more (school!) periods. I never went to school on thursday all of 2005, despite having double-p legal studies (and that turned out to be my highest assesment mark at 88, wootzorz)

I had an unlucky year.

I got:
Business - 81 (5)
Chem - 65 (3)
English (advanced) - 79 (4)
Geography - 82 (5)
PD/H/PE - 86 (5)
Studies of RE 1 - 41 (5)

Pretty good considering I sick all year and I was in hospital during the exams and had to commute form the hospital to school just to do my exams each day.

Bye

^^ then i assume you have applied for the access scheme, you'd get extra points for that kinda problem during the hsc.

also, i have a question. is it possible to get above 80 uai with only two band fives and everything else band 4?

Usually you accept a place in another course, work your butt off, and then transfer across. All high demand courses have high drop out rates, so there are usually quite a few places becoming available at the end of each semester as the "crash and burn" brigade, drop out, flunk out, or just change their minds about which course they want to do.

my uai wont be anything close to the uai i need to do combined law and business and une..however through SRAS scheme i got accepted into the course and will begin studying next year...so it is possible to get where u want, without relying on these marks...so i recommend to anyone studyin the hsc next year to definately apply for early entry at as many places as possible...its all about being willing to travel...who cares where u do ur degree...u can always transfer back home..

Your school was supposed to tell you the internal mark they were sending off a couple of weeks before they did, so that if you had any grievance with it you could sort it out.
