Could someone list a few? I have some idea, but Allan Fowler's book doesn't cover it well...

Ummm.. common sense stuff that you can make up in an exam. Let's see:

  • Testing - is it well tested, will it fail? (failure is bad for things like hospital life support systems). Pilot is good as a final test of the system.
  • Money - Time is money
  • training - how much needed, how much would training cost?
  • Is it feasible to have 2 systems operating simulataneously (as with Parallel or phased)
  • Time, duh :)

I'm sure there are lots more in the textbooks. Maybe it's a good idea to remember these criteria, and in an exam base your answer around them...

Hmm, that was kinda obvious. So it doesn't extend beyond that? Didn't think of the testing one though, thanks!

Installing a new system will mean some disruption, so you can talk about
* how long before the system will be operational after its installed
* time - how long it takes to install the system
*r isk of failure.. and how failure will disrupt the system
and compare how much disruption different methods of implementation cause..

Meh this sounds all so BS to me *memories of english*

So it doesn't extend beyond that?
it probably does... have a look in the textbooks, that's where I got my info when i was studying :)
