Who else forgot how to work out percentage error? Lol

I got it by doing arc length of a circle: 40over 360x2xpix15 = 10.47197551x4
= 41.88790205

I got 0.02. It was in a past paper so i did similar and got the same answer as i did for the percentage error in the previous paper! it worked

thats what i did. and felt full genius when i did it lol. because like it had a circule thing, and it was cut from a cylinder, making it circular?

Yeah the arc length would have shown how long all the 4 pieces of cheese bases would be if you straightened them out. We needed to find the size of the box though, which was in this case the length directly from corner to corner of the cheese slices

Yeah that's the key to general maths, sometimes you just need to think logically about a question and you get it alright. I did similar with 26c, I don't even know if their is a set procedure for it?

What did you put for 28av2) and also 25b) ?

These are the only 2 I am not sure about in my paper
Everything else I have double checked and seems to be right

takes 9 hours to get to borneo. Borneo is 5 hours ahead of Kenya

if the plane leaves at 10 pm (TUESDAY) add 5 hours just so that you don't confuse yourself to convert the departure time into Borneo time.

10+5 = 3 am (WEDNESDAY)

3 am (departure from Kenya Borneo time) + 9 hour flight = 12 pm Wednesday.

it took me a while to cotton on to the cheese question but i think my working out i may have solved it ( in the beginning i wrote "how to you fid the side length of the cheese?" on my paper)
but after all the time a wasted i wanted to make on the time on the volume q and promptly forgot to times the area of the triangle by the width.... bugger :mad1:

i thought the cheese q was easy,( the box dimentions etc) but i just hope i did it correctly lol.
but for some reason in the volume q i also forgot to times by the width IDIOT!!!.
oh well maths is finally over i hope i get a good mark though or....

Your almost correct, the flight time was 9 hours so they do arrive at 7am Wednesday from the place they depart from (Kenya) but it asks "what will be the local time in Borneo when the aircraft arrives?"

75 Degrees difference

1degree = 4mins time difference

75 x 4 = 300 minutes

300/60 = 5 hours

Therefor you need to add 5 hours onto the 7am Wednesday to get 12pm
