add the 2 equations to get
arcsinx + 3arcsinx = pi/3 + 2pi/3
4arcsinx=pi
arcsinx= pi/4
x=1/sqrt2
then sub that in one of the equations to find y

Hope i didn't make any stupid mistakes

i had to fudge the ln (x + root x^2+4 /2) queestion because i didn't know why it was the positive case.

i thought it was a pretty difficult extension 1 test, seemed longer than the past hsc, maybe on par with last year's paper? but i'm not sure. The extension 1 students probably have a better idea of the difficulty than the extension 2 students.

ok, maybe not on par with last year's paper going by what dispryde just said. :eek:

YES THATS WAT I GOT TOOOOOO!!! =]
Oh thats reassuring then :) Someone was talking about limits and shit and i didnt use anything like that :/ Just subbed t = 10 into the equation for x.

i got 1 for X and Y only,shouldn't it be 2 for each?
I thought that too at first, but then i realized it meant 2 values all together. ie, 1 for x, 1 for y. I'm pretty sure thats it anyway.

i found it harder than 4 unit too- there's so much room for error in the 3 unit exam, while 4 unit, you got the proofs, you're looking at a great scaled mark.

Blah. It started of very easy, and then some harder questions poped up and screwed me over =/

I did everything except last question, and I also skipped about 3 things.

Mainly the circle geo question pissed me off like hell. I am very good at circle geo, and every past ext1 paper I've done, I got the answer in like 10 seconds, and here I was sitting for like 5-10 mins trying to figure it out and couldn't.
That's what really really pissed me off >_<

In relation to question 5c...damnit I forgot how I did it, gime a sec.
