I don't think there's been a positive post in this thread about doing well in IPT...

It's ensures me that I was not the only one to do bad. Thank you guys.

Mate, I agree.

To confirm, it had check boxes, rather than an input-type submit button.

They might need to learn how to design a form input system

Im first in my school with my trial mark at 54% XD

I'm suprised to find that a lot of people felt rushed. There was more than enough time for me. i left with about 45 minutes to go and i feel i answered all the questions with enough length to get a decent mark. Unless i got my answer completely wrong, haha.

For the URL

http://www.website.com.au/xxx1245

whatever it was. I wrote that the first part is the transmission protocol used, second part is the domain name and the last part was the subdirectory of the webpage on that domain. Wasn't too sure though, someone confirm?

Hey zaneus,

I got confused with the '=' sign, it could have been interpreted as a php file for example with directing. Or a simple subfolder.

I wrote it as a subfolder as it didn't define a file type.

Yeah, I wonder if they were just being tricky or made a mistake by leaving out the '?' required for GET values in a url...

Data dictionary i'd say so,

The scheme is pretty much the fields, making sure you label the primary keys, and then linking them, making sure you put one to many etc.

I did 4 tables; Artist, Song, Customer, Transaction.

For the GPS thing i did track your parcels...

So if you have an expensive thing you wanna post overseas, you can track it etc.
no im pritty sure that u had to draw an ERD as well for like 4 or 6 marks but its pritty much wat u sed

I am first in IPT with a trial mark of 85%. The HSC had pretty ambiguous questions, and was really repetitive with the processes

Same, trolls be everywhere.

General overview of the test:

More logical thinking and subjective shit, too vague imo.

As for the ISA remote information beeping thing. I said it can be used to prevent head on collisions by monitoring speed direction etc etc. And if the warning about head on collision isn't enough to deter the driver, the system will take control of both vehicles and safely stop them.

:hat:

i agree way 2 vague, there was no point in studying past papers
and since when do you apply data/information 2 the info processes, its always been information technology!!!
what a gay exam
