Re: The UTS 'Secks and Stop Skipping Your Classes!' Thread

orsm. FIT's charlie server has been down like all day. No one can access anything. I don't know whether this is good or bad for me cause I have AIT to do. Hopefully they'll give us an extension :p I need one XD

Next week is so disgusting for me.

Tuesday > CommBank Assessment Centre+group activity+1 on 1 interview
Wednesday > Need to get draft for MDC assignment done
Thursday > AIT assignment due
Friday > Deloitte information session and group activity and ITPS tutorial presentation

Not to mention work on Monday and Tuesday and general homework. Someone kill me :(

Pretty much everything was down on Saturday - IT Website, Start IT, all the IT hosted subject pages and logins to Charlie and Sally (ftp/putty).

It was all running Sunday though.

I've noticed that happening quite alot on saturdays, maybe it's just maintainence?

Maybe. It would have been more suitable having maintainence during 1-5am or something, where there would have been the least number of students affected.

I forgot what coloured paper it was =/ I was in the afternoon session (1:30pm-3pm) though.

What did you think of it dram? I've spoken to a couple of friends- and they all found it relatively easy too.

yup i thought the majority of it was pretty easy with one exception - the TVM question. actually the question probably wasn't that hard, but i didn't really have any examples on my cheat cheet that matched anything like that question :/

i had the blue paper, i'm hoping for around a 75% mark :)

I had a 120-day bank bill question- something like PV all the cash inflows to today. Might have lost 1 mark it (it was out of 2 I think).

The TVM question- was it the annuity one?

it was an annuity one, yes. a company obtained 2 separate loans at different times and only started making repayments on a certain date after acquiring the loans...they were monthly repayments. sound familiar at all?

Re: The UTS 'Secks and Stop Skipping Your Classes!' Thread

Yep. Mine was compounded every 6 months.

So what I did was compound them both to the period before the annuity payment started, added them together- then used that as the PV for the annuity formula and working out PMT.

The session papers were pretty similar for the morning and afternoon. They must have changed around a couple of numbers here and there.

Looking forward to getting my results after VC week =D

Oh yeah. Did you like that 0.05something% compounded daily question - convert to EAR?

Such a good question lol.. I got like 10000% in my first working out (what you get when you don't convert the % into decimal).

Re: The UTS 'Secks and Stop Skipping Your Classes!' Thread

I'd been doing a few EAR questions just before the exam so i was pretty ok with that one.

sounds like you were trying to work out the details of a zimbabwean home loan with rates like that ;p
