I don't think so.. Melissa Edwards was lecturing last semester and apparently they've changed the lecturer again.

Re: The UTS 'Secks and Start of Autumn Semester' Thread

That means they changed the MPO lecturer again.

Managing and Organizations --> I read about 20 of the allocated 40 pages in the first week and also didn't touch it after that.
Emma --> She lecturered the first three lectures last semester, seemed to know most of the content and taught it well. Apparently she is trying to finish her PhD, so thats why she didn't subject coordinate MPO for the whole semester.

I hated Emma. She knew her work, but just her attitude shit me. I remember this one time, a group of us (neither of us really knew each other, we're just in the same subject) came into her lecture a bit late. This is because the tutorial is held in building 10 and we had to walk all the way down to Haymarket in that lecture room near the computers. Well anyway, she was talking about commitment or some crap at the time, and when we walked in, she was like "so what does everyone think of the people who just walked in late now? Are they committed to their work?" or some bullshit like that. Geez bitch, surely you could have ASKED why we were late. And then there was this time where she like degraded international students assuming that their English was poor and stuff. Ack, she pissed me off.

Sadly, I read the book most weeks. Some weeks I did just give up though at the crap they got us to read. I hate how a few subjects make you buy textbooks written by UTS 'academics'. They're hideous. 3 books I've had so far written by lecturers etc. at UTS have been terrible. Beyond terrible rather. Money leeching sluts. Sure if you're attempting to provide a good education, then at least get something people can understand. If local students can barely understand the words being used in the textbook, surely international students will have a world of trouble.

/end rant.

What a bitch. Never really saw that side of her in the first three weeks of last semester.
Well.. the comment she made about international students was made about the use of the 'online debate' rather than standing up and speaking. She said something like international students would get lower marks if it was a real debate, so it was placed online. Personally I think the online debate is crap and they should just change it back to standing up and doing a proper one.

Business Law and Ethics Companion (Lancaster and Meltz) is another one of those 'terrible' books. Chapter One and Two are horribly written and I have no idea how someone with not very good english skills would understand any of that.
