When they just say "find the solid of revolution". Can you use any method (cylindrical shells and slicing) or do you have to use the slicing method?

A kind of related Question, can you use any formula or method to get the answer if it isn't specified, like say you divide polynomials using a different method and you get it wrong, would you get the same amount of marks for working as you would if you used the standard method?

Generally marking criteria specify what gets each mark and then sats 'or equivalent', so you could prob. use any method
