I picked: land and water management.
I wrote: some crap. I was eager to somehow work in "intergenerational equity" into it, so I just quickly added it at the end.
I did coastal management, and I talked about two different Sydney beaches, one with good coastal management and one with bad, and looked at their management in relation to the sand dunes, erosion prevention and human development limitations I think.
i spoke about decision-making processes and the way they influence management strategies, and then I went on to talk about some of the actual managemetn strategies for coastal management. think i did ok.
Coastal management...I wrote stuff about managing erosion, SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EQUITY (god knows how many times I wrote that) etc, and I used Botany Bay as an example.
Land and water management. I did it for half yearlies, trials and now so it was alright.. although there was this one sentence that was obviously bs, so I hope they just skim over papers.
Heh, i did air quality, made up shit about pollution, half way ended up tlaking about the beijing olympics, and then ended up somehow talking about RX7's and toyota Hybrids.
I think i got at least 5/15, if the marker likes cars, FULL MARKS
Focused on "how the government MANAGES the issue" as indicated in the question.
Wrote about 3 pages (wrote on the back page) about gentrification, urban sprawl, consolidation, urban renewal/decline, etc. Increased demand for infrastructure due to interstate migration. You know the usual.
