Amazing that for all the asian dominance of 100 UAI in the past the two highest ever aggregates have been from white people. Also for a 97-98 you'd need about 420 aggregate scaled minimum. But each mark is a .05 increase. 99 is at 446/7.
I do actually find that humorous... that the better race always come out on top ^_^ (I'm only joking here... I mean no offence :p...). The top end is always dominated by other ethnicities apart from the Caucasain people, but the top two were... cool.

I think if they ditched English, you;d get a few 500 AG's, but with it, tough luck.

no

he didn't state rank english. He didn't state rank maths.

vince would have got
100 scaled for physics
100 scaled for chem
about 99 scaled for bio
let's say he got about 99 scaled for 3 unit or 4 unit
then about below 96-97 scaled for english since he didn't state rank.

so max would be about 495 scaled for that dude.

Top would be either laurie fields or amelia joy thompson.

laurie
300 for 6 units
199+ for 2 units
about 97-98 for english

so about 497 scaled

thompson
300 for 6 units
196+ for 4 units
so about 497 for this girl too.
Is Laurence Fields a girl? I thought he/she was a boy(No offense).

Laurie was (and is) a guy.

The top scaled aggregate ever (rounded) is 498 - could've been Laurie's...

Actually, the guy who proved the poincare conjecture (Russian)(above) has no job and lives with his mum [quit maths]. I can't decide if that's win (maths) or fail (life)

Generally yes they are, but that's not necessarily true. One girl that got 100 last year (Melissa Chen) did only 2U Maths (granted she got a State Ranking of 8th but still). So yeah. They tend to be good at at maths because James Ruse is traditionally good at Maths/Sciences. Also, through hard work/tutoring or whatever they work really really hard on English so that they can get 100. I'm kidna the opposite though. I'm good at english but I'm working really really hard on Maths (it still lags behind my English but the gap is closing). Thing is I'm not a top Ruse student as I'm not top 10 for everything. (I'm not top 10 for anything except Modern which only has 19 kids).
