a mate of mine texted me a few hours ago, he asked me to be the godfather to his kid, this sounds kinda normal. till i bring up the fact that e has no pregant wife or wife or even a gf.
turns out he got one of his ex's pregant and shes keeping it and he is gona stay in its life because he thinks shes evil.
well i said yes, but i dn't even know what it means to be a godfather i know i have one somewhere but i haven;t seen him in a decade
i don't know where i am going with this but yeah

Not alot really, when the kid is older if they bring it up christian you'll have to be present at its baptism, Confirmation and first Communion.

I suppose you could potentially have to babysit the child too. Basically you'd be like a distant uncle.
