Here they only showed up to the episode where they snuck into the school pool and the guy almost drowned.
I'm not sure which episode it is, but yeah.
They started from episode one again after showing that.

Gossip Girl was never revealed in the book, as far as I know. Then again, I've never read the books, I'm just going by what I know. Also, I've seen up to episode 13 and they haven't revealed who Gossip Girl is. Tbh, I don't find the voiceover of Gossip Girl to be particularly necessary. I heard the producers were thinking about getting rid of it, but who knows.

Apparently ep 14 goes a little something like this
Dan goes to visit his mother and when he returns home he is surprised to meet Rufus new girlfriend. She apparently spent the night and is now making pancakes in the kitchen. We see Blair at a club alone in a huge table waiting for her friends to arrive, but no one has shown up yet. Jenny goes to sell some of her things at a consignation shop.

Also sometime in season 2 someone comes out of the closet and i hope its not chuck! his too sexy to be wasted

I hope they don't ditch GG voiceover, I like it and wouldn't really be the same.
