I have heard about the government giving about $900 rebate to those who buy a computer before the end of the financial year, can anyone please tell me who the $900 applies to?
Thank you.

Applies to highschool students, but to get the full $900 rebate, think u need to spend $1500-$2000 laptop/computer.

The rebate is 50% for education aids baught by parents. These include, laptops, home computers, internet costs, printers textbooks, etc. The max is up to $375 for a primary school student and $750 for a High school student. But like the bloke above me said its only 50% so if ur gonna buy a new computer or laptop ur only gonna get 50% off not the whole thing for free.

And of course the Rudd government doesn't care about uni students, the ones who actually would use laptops and thus the grant the most.

I'm gonna walk the fuck down to the closest Apple store and buy a macbook closest to $1500 I can find. Mm rebate.
Then next semester(new financial year), I'm gonna build a brand spanking new desktop for $1500 as well. Mm rebate.

It covers several things, including internet, system and a few others, i just bought a laptop for 800, but bought 2 year extra warranty and a bag, totalling around 950.
Lol my stimulis is way gone.

Would i be able to claim on the bag and warranty?

I'm pretty sure that warranty and accessories would be covered :) Spend up
