"oh look at me i tried in exams that DON'T MEAN JACKSHIT!"

whereas i'm sitting here facing my third exam in three days with another one on thursday that does count and i am chronically procrastinating and seriously dudes just calm down. who cares if you "know your stuff" in year 11. our dux looks like he wore himself out in year 11 and for what? save it for year 12
'glycerine', you make a valid point there. I consistently see people work so hard in year 11, and then get worn out in year 12. However, such a generalisation should not be made. I've also seen a number of people who are capable of maintaining their high performances throughout their final years. I think it's more of a matter of preference rather than just getting 'worn out'. Some people just become sick of school, whereas others are determined to get into specific courses at university.
I just think that if you can afford to take it easy, you should. But if you are finding things difficult in class, you should try your best, because it's not going to get easier from there.
Students need to realise that some subjects require a fair amount of year 11 knowledge to excel in year 12.

Just keep in mind, keep your chin up and your head down, and you'll be set.

Oh and by the way, ^CoSMic DoRiS^^, I'm glad I'm not competing with you in the HSC :p

Best of luck,
J.

D: why did you suddenly attack them all?
i studied about 4-5 hours a day in year 11 yearlies, i could of done handstands and not bother studying, but why did i ? so when year 12 strikes and i NEED to do 4-5 hours a day, it wont seem so foreign to me

English Advanced - 62%
Maths - 95%
Maths Ext. - 89%
Chemistry - 94%
Drama - 85%
German (Written) - 90%

I haven't got Ancient History or German Speaking back... I'm proud to say I topped my grade in 2u Maths, and the top in Ext was 90%.

I also got full marks on my German creative writing, (yay!), but lost marks on the reading comprehension.

I can also say that my English mark is the worst I've ever got in anything, it's unfair that just because I go to a selective school they make me do English Advanced, I think that by the end of yr12 I'll be failing it.

My school doesn't do half yearlies; even if we did it wouldn't count for anything because it is, afterall, year 11.
