i dont like music for its genre.
i like it if it sounds good in my ears.

but im just curious as to what people classify as hardcore and emo and screamo.

hardcore - bad brains, minutemen, black flag, circle jerks, flipper
emo (emotional hardcore)- indian summer, kodan armada, rites of spring, moss icon, elliott.
screamo - envy, cowboys became folk heroes, saetia, life is a fight


most kids who call themselves hardcore bands these days don't know shit
