That was about the shortest guy I've been with.

Worked for me since I'm fucking tiny and he was also pretty awesome. Definitely think he's limited to being with short girls though.

most of my (female) friends are around 170ish, and it's alright.

yeah, i suppose the awkward factor would still be there. plus i don't know how many 170cm men would want to go out with a 178cm girl. :S

i think ideally my man should be 180-185. but beggars can't be choosers and all that.

I don't know if I could date a shorter guy. I tend to wear flats, but when I go out and wear heels I am on eye level with a good proportion of them, or taller.

Anyone around or over 6ft is awkward though. It just doesn't really work once you get to that big of a difference.

I pretty much have to wear them around a lot of my friends.

mine's mostly because of friends saying "why are you wearing heels? aren't you tall enough already? why can't we be taller than you for once?"
