i'm not sure how the UAC system works, so i'm wondering if anyone knows if putting a UAC preference on #1 or #3 etc will affect the entry into a course at a particular university.
say for example, i'm very likely guaranteed entry to macquarie's b. commerce, but instead of putting it as a first preference, i put it as a 3rd preference. for 1st preference i put in unsw, 2nd pref- usyd.
however, if unsw and usyd did not accept me, would it be likely that mq would not accept me as well because i put it as a 3rd preference? i.e. it gives offers only to students who only put it as a first preference?
i'll be applying as a non recent school leaver with a high credit/possibly distinction average tafe college mark. any info would be great, thanks.
